CLUB STATEMENT | EDGAR DEGABRIELE

Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s FC can confirm that Edgar Degabriele has tendered his resignation as Head Coach of the Senior Team, which the Club has accepted.

Edgar leaves the Club having played an important part in a significant period in our history.

Under his leadership, Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s secured promotion to top-flight Maltese football and lifted the Challenge Cup — achievements that will remain part of the Club’s history and for which Edgar deserves recognition.

The Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Edgar for his commitment, professionalism and contribution during his time with Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s.

Football inevitably brings moments of transition, but recent results should not overshadow what Edgar and the team achieved together. He leaves having helped take this Club back to the highest level of Maltese football and with silverware to show for that journey.

We wish Edgar every success in the next chapter of his coaching career and thank him for his service to Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s FC.

The Club has already taken steps regarding the future sporting leadership of the Senior Team, and a further announcement will be made shortly.
